We’re here for the plot. Not the fanservice.
Plot Armor is a Chrome extension that skip/mutes explicit scenes and blurs nudity. Works automatically on Crunchyroll and wherever you watch. Every episode reviewed by a human. Every setting decided by you.
I'm telling you, the festival starts at dusk.
- Human-reviewed episodes ✓
- Frame-accurate sync
- Your settings, your screen
- Never hosts or records video
- Free during beta
Watch the story. Skip the rest.
Plot Armor knows exactly when a scene starts and ends.
- Nudity gets blurred in place.
- Explicit scenes get skipped so smoothly you’ll forget they were there.
- A small status pill shows you what’s happening and any context you missed.
Three shields, one standard
Plot Armor does three things, automatically:
- Skip removes explicit scenes from playback.
- Blur covers nudity while the scene keeps playing.
- Mute silences suggestive dialogue.
Together they make up Halal Mode, the preset Plot Armor started with.
More presets like No Fanservice and Family Mode are on the roadmap.
Coming soon
96 episodes of filler. Zero of your evenings.
Plot Armor will know which episodes are canon, filler, mixed, and recap, and skip or flag them automatically. One Piece, Naruto, Bleach: watched the way you wish they aired.
Coming soon. Beta testers get it first.
Frame-accurate. Anywhere.
Whatever site, player, or release you’re watching, Plot Armor lines up to the exact frame automatically. Switch sites mid-season and your protection follows. No setup, no syncing, no drift.
How it works
-
Install from your beta link
10 seconds, free.
-
Press play
Plot Armor recognizes the show and episode on its own.
-
Watch
Scenes skip, blur, or mute per your settings. A faint indicator pill overlaid on the video tells you what it’s doing.
Works with Crunchyroll and wherever you watch.
If your player runs in the browser, Plot Armor probably runs on it. Enable it on any site with one click.
Plot Armor never hosts, copies, records, or distributes video. It runs in your browser and only changes what appears on your own screen.
A growing, human-reviewed catalog
Every covered episode is timestamped by our pipeline and confirmed by a human reviewer before it gets the ✓. New episodes of current-season shows are covered weekly. Not seeing your show? Members vote on what we cover next. The queue is public.
If we miss, tell us once
Spot something that should’ve been filtered? One click reports it with the exact timestamp. A human reviews it, the fix ships to everyone, and you’ll see the update note. That’s the deal: you watch, we keep armor repaired.
Sharp-eyed reviewers earn rewards. More on that soon.
Beta testers clear the game first.
Plot Armor is free during the beta. When paid plans arrive, beta testers keep privileges nobody else will ever get:
- Founding price, locked for life. The launch rate is your rate, forever.
- Beta Tester badge. Permanent and visible.
- Double vote on which shows enter the catalog next.
- A direct line. The beta Discord is where the roadmap actually gets decided.
Questions, answered.
How do I get it?
Join the beta. Invites go out in waves. When your wave opens, you’ll get a private install link for the Plot Armor Chrome Extension.
Is it free?
Free during the beta. Paid plans come later, and beta testers lock in founding pricing for life.
Is this censorship?
No. Nothing changes for anyone but you. Plot Armor runs in your own browser and only changes what shows up on your own screen, like a volume knob or subtitles. Everyone else sees whatever they choose to see.
Does it work on my site?
Plot Armor works with Crunchyroll and can be enabled on any site where the video plays in your browser. Install it, open your site, click “enable here,” press play. If the episode is in our catalog, you’re armored.
Who decides what gets filtered?
You do. We define categories precisely (see Standards), humans review every episode, and everything is framed as your choice, on your screen.
What if it misses something?
Report it in one click. A human reviews the timestamp and the fix ships to everyone. We’re honest about coverage: an episode only gets the ✓ after a human has reviewed it, and the extension tells you when an episode isn’t covered instead of guessing.
What does Plot Armor see about me?
The minimum it needs: which show and episode you’re playing, so it can fetch the right timestamps. We don’t sell data, and we don’t build watch-history profiles.
Do you host or provide anime?
No. Plot Armor never hosts, copies, records, or distributes video. It’s a filter for streams you already have access to.
Why “Halal Mode”?
Because that’s where this started. The founder built it so he could watch anime in line with his faith. It’s still the main preset, maintained with scholarly input. Use it or don’t. Every preset is optional.
Mobile?
Desktop Chrome and Edge today. Mobile is on the roadmap; join the list and you’ll know.
